Today was a sad day. I've been a faithful patron of the nearby EBGames for a while now, and the two people I knew in there (Rich and Ryan) that actually treated me like a person instead of a sale, quit about two weeks ago. I went in there today for the first time since they quit to pick up a pre-order for Crackdown I had, and it just wasn't the same. The two people working were just doing their jobs, of course, but they were going through the whole schpeil that I hate. I don't like walking into those places and getting bombarded with questions asking if I brought shit to trade in, and telling me about all the deals they have going at that particular time. Ryan and Rich always greeted me by name, and made me feel more like a friend than a customer, and that was the main reason I kept going back there. Now they're gone, and I don't really have any reason to choose that place over other stores like Best Buy or Circuit City or stores like that. As nerdy as it may sound, it was a depressing moment.
